1. Introduction to Thailand TISI certification

Thailand TISI certification, which is the certification of safety regulations and performance of products entering the Thai market, (Thai Industrial Standards Institute) is the Thai Industrial Product Standards Association in accordance with the relevant legal requirements of the Thai Industrial Product Standards Act, for chemicals, petroleum, plastics, Product quality testing and certification for rubber products, paints, machinery, motor vehicles, fire equipment, household appliances, lighting, medical equipment, consumer goods, building materials and steel. Ensure that products comply with the relevant requirements of Thai industrial product standards when entering the Thai market.

Thailand TISI certification is divided into compulsory product certification and voluntary product certification. Since the beginning of compulsory certification in 2004, there are currently 143 types of products included in the mandatory control list. Lists without mandatory control can also apply for TIS voluntary certification.

8. TISI certificate query & label requirements & certificate template

1) All manufacturers are required to apply QR codes to all certified products together with the TISI mandatory mark (red) and the TISI voluntary mark (blue).

2) One QR code can apply for a factory and a product

3) Licensee will be able to request a URL link to a QR code by filling in all required information through the TIS QR-CODE online system. The TIS QR-CODE system is being prepared by TISI and is expected to be available by November 2020.

4) To access the TIS QR-CODE system, the licensee must first have an account in the TISI electronic licensing system

TISI officials are updating the requirements for the location and implementation of the QR code TISI mark in the "TISI Special Requirements (PR)" of each TIS standard, which is expected to be completed in November 2020. After the PR of each standard is released, manufacturers should apply for the TISI mark with QR code according to the requirements in the PR.
